WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

This program is meant for 14-16 year olds who reside in RI and who have expressed an interest in the marine trades industry.  The participants must be able to commit to all 5 weeks of the program.

WHAT SKILLS WILL I LEARN?

This project based work experience will teach hands-on skills like woodworking, tool-handling, painting, shop safety, knot tying, electrical, plumbing and propulsions systems.  The participants will also tour local area boat yards and marinas as part of the industry and career exploration.

WHAT IS THE COST?

There is no cost for this program!  It is free for participants who are selected for the program.  Participants will receive $100/week based on attendance and performance.
