25 May RIMTA CEO Wendy Mackie Appointed National Marine Trades Council Chair

After serving a full two-year term, Melissa Danko, executive director of the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey, will pass the baton as chair of the National Marine Trades Council (NMTC) to Wendy Mackie. Mackie, CEO of RIMTA and the Composites Alliance of Rhode Island, was appointed at the recent NMTC meeting on May 18 in Rhode Island.

The NMTC is an informal group comprised of boating trade associations from across the country that meets twice a year to talk about boat show production, membership development and association management. The Council has been meeting since 1972.

“I am honored to serve the National Marine Trades Council as chairperson,” said Mackie. “NMTC has a long tradition of bringing industry leadership together to share best practices and foster partnership, comradery and communication across the national boating community. I am proud to be a part of that.”

“The NMTC meeting is one of the most important meetings that I participate in every year,” said Danko. “It was an incredible honor to chair the NMTC these past two years and I am proud to be a part of such a hardworking group of leaders in our industry.”

NMTC members will be surveyed to determine the dates and location for the 2019 NMTC meeting.
